Sandhays was bought in 1999 as a motorcycle circuit.

It was then levelled out that summer and sown with grass seed, only leaving “the pond and the hill” as a reminder of what it was like..!!

All came to fruition in year 2000 and the first aero-tow event was in 2001…

Chas Andrew and Gordon Veal founded SSGA in January 2000. The objectives of the association are to promote scale gliding and all aspects of silent flight.

Our thirteen and a half acre site is located in beautiful open countryside approximately 2 miles east of Bishop Norton, Lincolnshire.
